      • Disney Targets Cruise Growth as parks becomes slow

Disney plans to invest 20% of $60 billion it plans to pump into its "experiences" division over the next decade into its cruise business, aiming to more than double its fleet to 13 ships by 2031, as demand for cruises surpasses pre-pandemic levels and affluent millennials increasingly sees them as a good value. "Given the fact that we are still a relatively small player and we see this strong demand, it's only natural and actually the best time to invest in this business," said Thomas Mazloum, who leads the part of Disney's Experiences division that includes cruises

      • 11 Reasons You, Yes You, Should Get an Annual Pass

        1 – Freedom

Most people don’t realize that when William Wallace uttered that spine-tingling cry of “Freeeeedoooom” he was actually confessing to the number one reason he got a Disney World annual pass. I agree. In my opinion, this is my favorite AP benefit, and it’s one that’s not listed on the website. An annual pass gives you the freedom to stop worrying about getting your money’s worth. You aren’t assigning a dollar value to every day of a park ticket, so you don’t have to feel like you’re obligated to go go go all day. Once we got an annual pass, I stopped worrying about sleeping in a couple of mornings or leaving in the afternoon to swim.

An annual pass is so worth it, and it’s the right choice for most guests. Get a discount on your room, eat a few table service meals, and buy some souvenirs, and you’ve made up the difference in cost. If you come once a year or more, it’s a no-brainer. But even if you’ll only be here for a week every few years, when you add up all the discounts, the pass often pays for itself.

        2 – Start Playing Immediately

If you’ve never been to Disney, understanding this will be a little harder, but take my word for it. Medieval torture chambers never came up with a device more excruciating than arriving at Disney World mid-afternoon but not being able to go to the parks because you don’t want to burn one day of your ticket on a half-day. I want to get going right away. If the airline could parachute me onto the Tower of Terror, that would be even better. With an annual pass, you don’t need to worry about burning a day. It’s included. Just go. Have fun.

        3 – Unplanned Trip?

Have a free weekend and some extra airline and hotel points? Why not make an unplanned trip to Disney World? With an annual pass, the park is yours to enjoy whenever you get the itch.

4 – Special Pass Holder Only Events and Extras

Disney does a great job of providing little extras that are hard to put a price tag on but work well at making you feel like an insider. Passholders usually get sneak peeks on new attractions or lands (we were able to get passholder previews to Pandora-The World of Avatar and, most recently, to TRON Lightcycle / Run). Finally, for all the collectors out there, Passholders are able to purchase exclusive Disney merchandise, including pins for special events and other celebrations.

5 – Save Money on a Bunch of Other Stuff Too

Besides the big everyday discounts above, there are a lot of other ways to save money with a pass. Whether it’s treatments at on property spas, sports, and recreation activities, or special event tickets like the After Hours events, it seems like almost every opportunity Disney offers has some sort of discount attached to it.

6 – Save Money on Dining

My favorite perk of being an annual passholder is the dining discount. Discounts are usually at table service locations and are usually 10%. Again, Disney table service isn’t cheap, but it’s a great part of the vacation experience. For an average family of four eating on property, this will probably save you $15-30 per meal. A list of current dining discounts will come with your pass, but since it’s always changing, it’s best to just ask at every meal.

7 – Save Money on Merchandise

In the past, passholders have received a 10% discount at most merchandise locations around property, including World of Disney. The current discount is 20% off. Disney merchandise isn’t cheap, so this really helps. Depending on your budget for these items, this discount could add up. If you’re like us, it’s the equivalent of getting a part-time job.

8 – Save Money on Parking

Not staying on property? That’s okay. There’s big money to be saved for you too. Each of those seven days at the parks would normally cost you $30 for theme parking but not for pass holders. Passholders park for free, saving you $210 on your seven days in the parks.

9 – Save Money on Your Hotel Room

For all but the busiest times of the year, pass holders can usually get a nice discount at Disney hotels. Depending on when and where you are staying, this discount alone could pay for half or more of the pass and will easily cover the extra cost over a regular ticket.

10 – Save Money on Your Tickets

If you plan to make an annual pilgrimage to Disney World, you can save significant money by opting for the annual pass and using our straightforward scheduling strategy. Plan two of those trips at once and make them 51 weeks (or less) apart. By doing this, you are still vacationing once per year, but you’re getting two trips on one annual pass. Let your pass expire and repeat a year later with your next set of two visits. This will save you money most of the time versus buying those 7-day park hopper plus tickets two years in a row (which doesn’t even factor in price increases down the road). And if you can swing a third trip in that same year, your admission will be totally covered by the annual 11 – You’ll Get a Discount on Photopass Memory Maker

While Photopass Memory Maker is no longer included with annual pass benefits, you will still get a discount. At the time of purchase, guests can add the Memor Maker benefit for $99. Memory Maker allows you to download all photos taken during your trip by Disney Photopass Photographers and on rides. Disney photographers are stationed pretty much everywhere but the restrooms to capture the moments of your special time. While this may not be something you would typically choose to purchase a few great pictures, it may become something you learn to love. Purchasing Memory Maker on its own in advance is $185 per trip. It costs $210 if you don’t purchase it in advance. So, if you make multiple trips, you will save money over time if you choose to add on Memory Maker.pass.

      • 12 Things You Actually Can't Bring Into the Disney Parks

The park rules at Walt Disney World address security risks, safety concerns, and the enjoyment of visitors. For this reason, Disney prohibits guests from bringing certain items into the theme parks. Obviously, they ban all weapons and illegal substances, but what about those things that don’t seem to be a threat? You might think it silly to exclude some of the items on this list, but Disney doesn’t randomly restrict them. Usually, one or more incidents involving these things warrant them being banned.

        broken image

        7 – Folding Chairs

        While
you’re standing around waiting to watch fireworks, your legs will likely ache from overuse, and you’ll wish you had something to sit on. Whether it’s a beach chair, camping chair, hunting blind chair, or one of those clunky, metal chairs, leave it at home. They appear on the ban list to protect other park guests from injury as you lug it around all day. Also, they’re unsightly in the magical atmosphere of Walt Disney World. Instead, look for an empty bench, though they’re scarce during parades and firework shows.

        6 – Baggage and Coolers

        Many p
eople like to bring their backpacks or coolers with them into the parks. Inside, they may pack food and drinks to curtail spending or store souvenirs purchased at gift shops. If you want to carry or pull your suitcase, cooler, or backpack around all day, you need to make sure it isn’t larger than 24″ long by 15″ wide by 18″ high. Don’t try to bring in a mountain pack or a massive cooler; they belong to hiking trails and campgrounds, not theme parks. Even with the smaller coolers, be aware that loose ice is not permitted.

5 – Selfie Sticks and Tripods

Though the Selfie Revolution has spread all over the world, it’s limited at Disney theme parks by the selfie stick ban. Disney isn’t trying to force you to use their PhotoPass service. The ban actually resulted from several accidents involving selfie sticks on rides. The ride’s structure can easily entangle or collide with these sticks, thereby putting park guests at risk for injury. Also, Disney disallows tripods and monopods that don’t fit into your bag or backpack. In particular, large tripods take up quite a bit of space, becoming safety hazards to both visitors and cast members. Sure, they work fine for snapping shots all around Walt Disney World, but what do you do with them while you’re riding Space Mountain?

        4 – Remote Controlled Devices

Even if your child wants to bring his Lightning McQueen remote-controlled car into Magic Kingdom, he won’t get it past security. The same goes for remote-controlled planes and drones. Perhaps you were hoping to capture remarkable footage and aerial photos with your camera-mounted drone. No matter how fantastic the idea sounds, Disney won’t permit you to do it. Despite being called “remote-controlled,” these devices are known for crashing and causing uncontrolled accidents.

        3 – Balloons and Straws

Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t allow balloons or plastic straws through the main gate. You won’t find them inside the park, either. These items sometimes end up as litter, and even though cast members are good at cleaning the park, they can’t catch everything. Animals may mistake a busted balloon or a discarded straw for a meal and suffer injury or death when they consume them. Though it may seem easy to slip these items into your pocket to avoid security, you’re endangering Disney’s wildlife by doing it.

        2 – Glass Containers

Disney’s screeners will allow you to carry water bottles or other containers into the parks, as long as they aren’t made of glass. Shattered glass causes bleeding injuries to visitors, animals, and cast members when they make contact with it. It doesn’t take much to drop a glass or have it bust in your bag while you’re on a ride. Even when a cast member sweeps up the shards, small pieces may remain, putting others at risk for cuts and infections. Baby food jars remain the only exception to this rule, since they’re made of glass, and nobody wants to starve a baby. However, consider buying plastic packs of baby food in order to avoid a mishap in the theme parks.

        1 – Pets

Some of us can’t get away from our pets for too long. Either the cherished animal feels abandoned and becomes depressed while we’re away or we miss them dearly. No matter how much we’re attached to our family pets, we cannot bring them into the theme parks. Only service animals are permitted, and they must be controlled and leashed at all times. In any case, the whole business of dealing with animal waste can be difficult. Luckily, Walt Disney World has provided a solution to the problem, offering pet lodging and care services right on the property. You can enjoy the theme parks as long as you want and then visit your pet afterward.

        broken image

        12 – Loose Ice

Disney has banned “loose ice and dry ice.” Disney further clarified that ice inside water bottles and even resealable bags are ok. “The new rule applies to ice that is loose within a container such as a cooler.”

TIP: We recommend guests use re-useable ice packs instead. Complimentary cups of ice are available at Food & Beverage locations inside the parks if needed.

11 – Larger Double Strollers including Wagons

Disney requires strollers to be no larger than 31″ (79cm) wide and 52″ (132cm) long or smaller. The good news – many of the strollers on the market, including many double jogging strollers, fit within these size guidelines. Also, just a reminder that wagons are not permitted in our parks. Stroller wagons also no longer be permitted. These updates are designed to help guest flow and ease congestion, making the parks more enjoyable for everyone.

TIP: The smaller your stroller, the easier it is to navigate and maneuver the parks. At Walt Disney World Resort, guests can rent a single or double stroller once they arrive, and they can be rented each day. Or, you can choose a Length of Stay Rental, which will save time and money.

        10 – Toy Weapons

While it is clear that guns and knives should be restricted (even for those with conceal carry permits), toy blasters and squirt guns seem harmless enough, right? Disney disagrees, and for good reason. Many replica toy guns appear realistic, and with the outbreak of public gun violence around the world, Disney isn’t willing to take chances. To show their commitment to this policy, they have ceased selling toy guns at all theme parks. You’ll notice that the entire arsenal at the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop has disappeared.

        9 – Alcohol

Though all parks sell alcoholic beverages to guests of legal age, Walt Disney World won’t let you bring in your own. Some believe that greed motivates the policy, since beer, wine, and cocktails are expensive, but safety is the true purpose. Disney prices alcoholic beverages high and limits purchases to two drinks per person in an effort to slow down the rate of consumption. Guests bringing in their own alcohol wouldn’t be subject to these controls. While Disney wants visitors to relax and enjoy themselves, they also want to prevent excessive drunkenness to avoid heat exhaustion, bad behavior, and dangerous risk-taking. There have been more than a few inebriated visitors who have demonstrated out-of-control behavior.

        broken image

        8 – Wheels

Wheels may make it easier for you to get around, but they often cause accidents in a crowded environment. Forget about bringing skateboards, inline skates, scooters, or shoes with retractable wheels. Wheel boards are out of the question. Wagons and other objects towed by a vehicle or pulled by a person won’t be allowed in the parks, either, since they are bulky and can be difficult to control in a crowd. Naturally, some park guests will have difficulty getting around, so disabled guests may bring their own wheelchairs. Other mobility devices with at least three wheels are also permitted as long as they serve a single rider, maintain stability and balance when stopping, operate at walking speed, and aren’t larger than 36″ by 52″. Larger devices are not able to safely access all areas of the park. Also, make sure your baby stroller is smaller than the indicated size if you want to bring it in, otherwise, you’ll need rent one.

        Revamped Youth Spaces

Recruits, assemble! A state-of-the-art lab, thanks to members of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, or “WEB” for short, will be swinging into the Oceaneer Club. At Marvel WEB Workshop, young recruits will be able to test new suit prototypes for Spider-Man and other heroes and conduct training simulations using WEB technology to fend off enemies from the Workshop – no pressure, of course. The best part? Avenger mentors will drop by the workshop to check in on their progress!

Up next is Edge, the tween club for guests ages 11-14, which will move to Deck 5 and debut exciting new features, including access to an outdoor deck with a ball pit and recreational games, all exclusively for Edge and Vibe. Edge will also include a club lounge and dance floor for unforgettable parties with new friends. Are they taking song requests yet?

        Fantastical Funnel Suite

        What kind of sorcery…

The forward funnel of the Disney Dream is about to completely transform into the Dream Tower Suite! In homage to the Disney Dream’s stern character, Sorcerer Mickey, the all-new, two-story funnel suite will be themed to the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Fantasia,” and its beloved sequence, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” (enchanted brooms not included). Full of gilded features that reflect the Disney Dream’s art deco motif, this spectacular suite will immerse guests in Sorcerer Mickey’s magic, including celestial-inspired surroundings, carpet design inspired by flowing water, and a chandelier reminiscent of his famous control of the waves.

        broken image

Concierge guests will sing “bless my soul!” in the harmonious fashion of the Muses as they enter an expanded Concierge Lounge, an all-new space inspired by the Disney Animation film, “Hercules,” and the heavenly Mount Olympus. The ethereal lounge will have light, airy details and rich colors inspired by the clouds of Mount Olympus, with hints of bright gold evoking the gates to the kingdom of the gods.

         Treat Yourself!

Now, to the spa! This tranquil space will have a refreshed check-in area and will expand to include new treatment rooms.

And, last but not least, joining the quick service dining options on Deck 11 will be a guest favorite cantina, offering all your favorite tacos, burritos and bowls!

Now, the big question… spa, then tacos? Or tacos, then spa?

While I ruminate on life’s big questions, I’ll note that the Disney Dream will debut these magical enhancements in fall 2024. To book a voyage, guests can visitdisneycruise.com.

      • New Character Outfits Revealed for Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

        Disney Travel News

        broken image

Today, we're excited to reveal new character looks for Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale for their visits to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! Acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett created these adorable looks, which showcase the vibrant spirit of the beloved Bahamian tradition, Junkanoo.

        broken image

Theodore designed all eight looks with traditional Junkanoo style in mind, including eye-catching details like fringe. Can you spot it in Goofy’s vest? Like Mickey Mouse’s conch shell shorts and Minnie Mouse’s pineapple purse, Bahamian island inspiration also makes these vacation looks especially bright—check out the ocean waves and sun rays in Donald Duck and Chip and Dale’s looks.

“I envisioned creating a collection that not only highlighted Bahamian culture, but one that also allowed Mickey and his pals to look and feel as though they were comfortably on vacation, island style,” said Theodore. “’Junkanoo Fun in the Sun’ is an exclusive line-up of all things Bahamian, celebrating the beauty of The Bahamas, all tailored to match the varying personalities of Mickey and his pals.”

      • Trip Planning 101: Understanding Disney World Transportation Options

        broken image

        1 – FLYING:

Have you decided to channel your inner Peter Pan and take to the air to reach Disney World? Perfect! Booking a ticket from the Orlando International Airport (MCO) is your first step in transportation. We recommend booking your ticket as early as possible, as ticket prices into MCO do increase the closer you get to your arrival date.

        • Disney discontinued its popular Disney’s Magical Express service at the end of 2021. All guests flying into Orlando need to find their own way to Walt Disney World. Car rentals, cabs, and Uber are available from the Orlando International Airport. Multiple off-site hotels offer airport shuttles, so be sure to check with your hotel on transportation options they may have available for you. Click here to learn about alternatives to Magical Express.

        2 – DRIVING:

“Are we there yet?” has never sounded so wonderful when as Disney trip is involved!

        • Disney World is situated on the southwest side of Orlando off Interstate 4, which has multiple Walt Disney World Resort exits. Depending on where you are driving from, I-95 to I-4 is a popular route, as is taking I-75 to Florida’s Turnpike to I-4.

The major I-4 construction project known as the “I-4 Ultimate” has been completed north of Disney. However, traffic on I-4 can still be terrible because the new express lanes end before reaching the Disney exits (coming from the east). Construction has begun on extending those express lanes. If driving on I-4 just be aware you may be slowed down in getting to Disney property.

        Getting AROUND Disney World

        1 – BUS Transportation:

Probably one of the most popular ways to get around Disney World is by taking their complimentary bus transportation. Anyone can use Disney bus transportation as no bus cards, no money, and no tickets are needed to climb aboard a Disney bus.

        • Bus transportation is especially helpful for guests staying at Disney Resorts, as buses are on routine schedules to go to and from multiple bus stops within each Disney Resort. Timetables are now conveniently available at resorts, so you know when the next bus is coming. Buses from resorts go to theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.
        • Disney Resort buses don’t go directly from one resort to another. You would have to go to a park or Disney Springs and then catch another bus from that location to the resort you are seeking.
        • If you are visiting Disney Springs, don’t expect to park there and take a bus to one of the theme parks, as there are no buses that go to the theme parks from Disney Springs.
        • If you are presently at a Theme Park, bus transportation is available to other theme parks and Disney Resorts. Taking a bus from one theme park to another is especially helpful for those with park hopping tickets.

        2 – MONORAIL Transportation:

The beloved “highway in the sky” – the Disney Monorail– is a convenient but incredibly fun Disney transportation option! Just like bus transportation, the monorail can be used by anyone. The Monorail has three separate lines to navigate guests through Disney World.

        • The Resort Monorail makes stops at the Magic Kingdom park, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). More about the TTC is below! **
          • Something to note when using the Resort Monorail is the path it takes. It goes in the following order making a stop at each location – from the TTC to the Polynesian, to Grand Floridian, to Magic Kingdom, to Contemporary, then back to the TTC. This means that if you are staying at the Contemporary Resort, you might want to look at using the walking path from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom instead of taking the Monorail – likely saving you 20 to 25 minutes from having to make the full Resort Monorail loop.
        • The Epcot Monorail originates at the TTC and goes back and forth from the TTC to Epcot.
        • The Express Monorail also originates at the TTC and goes back and forth from the TTC to Magic Kingdom.

**So, what exactly is the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)? The TTC is the most popular parking lot at Disney World! If you are driving to Magic Kingdom, this is the main Magic Kingdom parking lot. From the TTC, you park, then take a tram from your parking spot to the TTC hub. Here you can catch the Monorail as mentioned above, a ferry as mentioned below, and sometimes they even run buses from the TTC to Magic Kingdom depending on crowd size. Even if you aren’t parking for Magic Kingdom, you can still reach Epcot and the Magic Kingdom Resorts (Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian) from the TTC.

        3 – WATER Transportation:

Whether it’s a large ferryboat or smaller watercraft – transportation by water is another key to getting the most out of your transportation experience. Once again, water transportation is open to anyone wanting a ride and it’s free!

        • Water transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom is available from the Transportation Ticket Center (TTC) as well as from some of the surrounding resorts. The TTC has a couple of beautiful and very large Ferryboats that transport guests to and from the TTC and Magic Kingdom. Multiple smaller watercraft go from the Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness.
          • Please note that water transportation at resorts begins 30 minutes before park opening. This means that if you would like to make it to Magic Kingdom before the opening show, you need to look at another transportation option instead of planning on boat travel. The time it takes to travel and get through security will likely have you missing the show!
        • Epcot and Hollywood Studios are accessible by boat for the Boardwalk and BoardWalk Inn, Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club, and Swan and Dolphin Hotels. We will say the Hollywood Studios water transportation seems almost always be super busy! A walking path will take you to and from Hollywood Studios to the Boardwalk, where you can access the above resorts and Epcot.
        • Disney Springs Resorts also offers water transportation to and from the Port Orleans Resort (both French Quarter and Riverside), Old Key West Resort, and Saratoga Springs – directly to Disney Springs.

        4 – SKYLINER Transportation:

The Disney Skyliner soars along waterways and wooded areas alike on its way to theme parks and Disney resort hotels, while wide-eyed guests are treated to views never before seen. The Disney Skyliner is open to everyone and is free, just like other Disney transportation.

This “most magical flight on Earth” connects Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the new Disney’s Riviera Resort. Each

        • of these places has its own dedicated Skyliner Station.
        • In addition to convenient theme park access, guests staying at Disney resort hotels accessible by Disney Skyliner have quick-and-easy transportation to a world of other dining and entertainment options. These include all the fun of Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment district, access to Epcot through the International Gateway station, and restaurants and recreation found at the resort hotels serviced by Disney Skyliner.

Disney Skyliner hours vary by location. Check the MyDisneyExperience app for operation hours during your vacation.

        5 – WALKING:

We’ve discovered that sometimes the fastest and easiest way to reach specific areas is by walking! While we enjoy a good walk, remember that your legs are in constant use at Disney World, so don’t hesitate to wait for a bus, monorail, or water transportation option.

        • We mentioned above that it’s a brief walk from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom.
        • A walkway between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Magic Kingdom is a great option, particularly at night after the evening fireworks!
        • We also suggested above walking to and from the BoardWalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Swan and Dolphin to Epcot or Hollywood Studios.
        • Saratoga Springs has a relaxing walk to Disney Springs!

        6 – FOR HIRE Transportation:

The best way to beat the crowds is by hiring an Uber/Lyft driver or Cab/Taxi driver. Of course, this isn’t complimentary through Disney, but it is rather tempting from time to time to spend the money to travel without the crowds!

        • Uber or Lyft are increasingly popular at Disney along with the usual popularity of cab/taxi drivers, which is helpful when arranging a pick up and drop off destination. May we suggest that if you are going to Magic Kingdom, you have your driver drop you off at the Contemporary Resort so you can walk. Otherwise, Uber and Cab/Taxi drivers will take you to the TTC.
        • Disney’s paid Minnie Van Service is also an option. Click here for more information.

        7 – SELF-DRIVING Transportation:

You have a rental car or your own vehicle, so you’ve decided to explore the roads of Disney World on your own!

        • The cost of parking a standard car at one of the theme parks is $30 per day. This $30 allows you to come and go as you please and park hop to another theme park without additional charges. There is a preferred parking option that gets you closer to the park entrance that goes for $50-55 per day (depending on the day) if that is something you prefer to splurge on. Catch a tram from your car to the park entrance if you need to save your legs!
        • Parking at any of the theme parks is free for Disney Resort guests and Annual Passholders.
        • The water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach) have free parking.
        • From 2018 to early 2023, Disney instituted a resort parking fee for overnight guests. However, that policy has been dropped, and resort guests no longer pay for parking while staying at a Walt Disney World resort.

Disability Parking lots are available at all theme parks, and handicapped parking at the water parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.

Disney Springs is booming in popularity. Disney planned on that with their multiple parking now available, including two massive parking garages (Lime and Orange) and three surface parking areas (Grapefruit, Watermelon, and Strawberry). The Lime and Orange parking garages give the best access to the Disney Springs action in our opinion. Valet Parking is available for $20 if you prefer to splurge for even easier parking.

        TOP TIPS

Here are a few top tips about getting around Disney World that you can learn from our blunders!

        • Have a transportation game plan in mind the day before – if not earlier.
        • Don’t hesitate to ask Cast Members and Guest Services which transportation route they would recommend, especially if you are fighting the crowds.
        • Stay smart about getting to Magic Kingdom, as it’s the trickiest and most time-consuming because you can’t just drive right up to the park. Almost all transportation options are faster than driving in and parking at the TTC.
        • Keep park-hopping simple by knowing what transportation reaches your destination best. For example, the monorail is super easy to catch from Magic Kingdom to Epcot with one simple transfer at the TTC. Taking the Skyliner from Epcot to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also easy and fun.
        • Check transportation schedules for operating hours. This is especially important if you are arriving early for dining or a tour or staying very late in a park and need to know when the transportation stops.
        • If driving, follow the road signs, as Disney is no different than driving around a city at home!
        • Visiting Epcot Food and Wine Festival, for example? Plan alternatives for arriving back to your resort safely if you plan to drink.
        • Take a picture of where you parked!

        Going HOME from Disney World

It’s a sad day when your Disney vacation ends, and it’s time to head home.

        • 1 – FLYING:

You’ll need to make your own arrangements to return to the airport. You can return your rental car to MCO, take an off-site hotel shuttle if offered, or call for Uber or a taxi/cab.

        2 – DRIVING:

Typically, traffic isn’t as busy when leaving Disney World as it is getting into the property. With that being said, sit back and expect some congestion and traffic. Hopefully, you’ve stocked up on fun souvenirs and tasty Mickey treats for yourself and the family to make the trip home a little less melancholy.
